Venus Beauty Institute was her first feature film, in which she received high praise. She is known for her willingness to perform a variety of characters. From romantic comedies like Amelie through to the thriller Dirty Pretty Things. France is her birthplace, and she was a star in French films for several years prior to her Hollywood debut starring Tom Hanks.
